HIKING FROM SNOW BASIN TO MOUNT OGDEN
September 2003 - 15 photos

On September 14th, 2003 we hiked from Snow Basin parking lot to the top of Mount Ogden. The trip is a little over four miles one way with a rise in altitude of 3,300 feet. The peak itself is 9,572 feet above sea level. This hike is somewhat easier than hiking up from Beus Canyon on the Ogden City side. That trail is 5.5 miles long and climbs 4,220 feet.

On the way down from Mount Ogden we saw three moose in the ravine below us. A bull, cow and calf. I was only able to get photos of two of them.
