HIKING FROM TONY GROVE TO WHITE PINE LAKE July 2002 and July 2003 18 photos
I did this hike twice, the first time on July 14th, 2002 and again on July 26th, 2003. Starting from Tony Grove parking lot, this hike also travels through the heart of the Mount Naomi Wilderness Area in the Cache National Forest. Along the way to Naomi Peak the trial splits and heads north over a ridge and down into a valley where White Pine Lake is located. This is a moderate hike starting at 8,060 feet, with a 1,250 foot gain/loss and is 6.6 miles round trip. Mount Naomi Wilderness area is especially known for it's abundant wild flowers. From the ridge you can see the mountains Gog and Magog. White Pine lake is located between them.
