February 12th, 2004 I visited Snow Basin, a Ski resort owned by the Sun Valley corporation. Snow Basin is located on the back side of Mount Ogden. I drove up Ogden Canyon and took the Trappers Loop road across towards Weber Canyon. About half way across the hill tops the road turns off to Snow Basin. Since it was foggy down in the cities, I thought I might get some nice pictures up high where the air was still clean and clear. Snow Basin gained attention in 2002 when it became part of the Utah 2002 Winter Olympics for the Downhill events.

The photos shown here were taken with a Canon EOS 300D, (Digital Rebel) a 6.3 Megapixel SLR Camera, with wide angle to 2x optical zoom. Some of these photos were taken with the Canon EF 100- 400mm IS Zoom lens, (3x to 13x) with Electronic Image Stabilazation. The original photos were taken at 3072x2048.
