HIKING FROM TONY GROVE TO MOUNT NAOMI
July 2000 - 15 photos

We hiked Mount Naomi on July 15th, 2000. Considered one of Utah's better hikes, it starts from Tony Grove Lake. Drive about 20 miles up Logan Canyon on US89 and look for Tony Grove Lake turnoff. Seven Miles up this side canyon is the Tony Grove Lake and parking lot. This hike travels through the heart of the Mount Naomi Wilderness Area in the Cache National Forest. At the top of Mount Naomi, at 9,980 feet, you will get an incredible view from the highest point in the Bear River Range of the Wasatch Mountains. On a clear day you can see the Tetons to the North, the Uinta's to the southeast, and into Nevada to the west. It's a moderately strenuous hike, with an elevation gain of approximately 1,900 feet.
