UTAH HIKES: STORIES - DESCRIPTIONS - PHOTOS - MAPS
I love being outdoors and hiking is a great way to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. Utah has some of the most varied and beautiful scenery found in America, and is a great place for hiking. As an example, the Uinta Mountains Wilderness Area has more than a thousand alpine lakes, many streams, and very high mountains, all above 10,000 feet. Kings peak is the highest in Utah at 13,498. There are also many high peaks and great trails all along the Wasatch Mountain range, close to most of Utah's cities. Then there is Southern Utah, with all the colorful rock and desert country which includes some of the most famous National Parks in the country. Most of my hikes have been in the northern part of the state, but lately I have been expanding to Southern Utah as well. I hope you will find the information provided on these pages helpful, and enjoy looking at the pictures.

If you would like to know the type of camera and lenses that were used to get these photos, check the paragraph at the bottom of each Story Page. It will describe the equipment used to capture the photos for that story. There are two pages about my photo equipment as well, with photos. You can see them by clicking on the 'Camera Bag' button below. Also there is some information 'About Me', see button.
These pages work best in Microsoft IE 6 and 7. They work fair in Netscape 7 and newer. I haven't checked them in any of the other browsers yet. For the spiral edge and buttons to work, your browser must handle Cascading Style Sheets. The spiral binder should only appear on the left side, if it is seen on all sides, then CSS is not working. The buttons should appear as normal URL links when CSS isn't working.
Silver turns to gold. Once you click on a button, or visit it's page, that button turns to gold.
